June Africa Honeymoon Review Part 1 / Zanzibar, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Nairobi, Namibia Travel Tips
나미비아 - 탄자니아 - 잔지바르 - 케냐

👋 Hello. Please give us a brief self-introduction.

[Yerim] Hello, I'm Yelming, the 'vacation-hoarding traveler'. Since I'm an office worker, I save up and combine my vacation days to travel whenever I can. My husband and I met during a trip to South America and got married after dating for four years.
[Sol] Hello, I'm Sol. I’m just an ordinary office worker, and I also make good use of my vacation days to travel. I love experiencing various things around the world, whether it’s tourist spots, resorts, or remote places.
💬 I'm curious about what made you decide to go to Africa for your honeymoon.

[Yerim] I saw an Instagram reel of elephants drinking water from a puddle in front of a swimming pool. I showed it to my husband and asked him, half-jokingly and half-seriously about going to Africa for our honeymoon. He was actually even more enthusiastic about the idea, saying that if we didn’t go now, it would be hard to go later, so we really ended up going. We both love adventure and nature, and we enjoy visiting new travel destinations, so we decided on Africa for our honeymoon.
💬 Wasn't it difficult finding information about Africa? How did you come to know about Ahmo Travel?
[Sol] Work was busy, and we didn’t have much free time during our wedding preparation period, so we didn’t have much time to research honeymoon-related things. But even when I searched on Naver, there wasn’t much information about traveling to Africa. There was one blog with well-organized content, and that blog was AhmoTravel.
[Yerim] I found out about it through Instagram. Since I mainly create photo and video content, I often discover and choose travel destinations through Instagram.
💬 What did you like most about using AhmoTravel?

[Yerim] We had some prejudices against traditional travel agencies. We were the type who preferred to travel by doing our own research and planning rather than using package tours. But after meeting Ahmo Travel (formerly Simple Safari), I think our perspective changed a lot. We found ourselves wondering why we didn’t do this before. Thanks to them, we were able to travel with peace of mind, and I think we traveled more safely and without worry.
[Sol] We booked a popular hotel through a hotel agency, but found out a month before departure that the reservation hadn’t been confirmed, and we fell into panic. But AhmoTravel heard about our situation and directly contacted the hotel to check for available rooms and apply discounts, which was very reassuring and helpful.
💬 Before traveling, weren't there any concerns about going to Africa? Did your thoughts change after the trip?

[Yerim] To be honest, safety was our biggest concern. For instance, my husband wanted to do a road trip with a rental car, but looking up the accident and incident logs on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website made me really anxious. The information was limited, but since it was all we had to go on, it increased my worries. However, when we actually arrived, it was much better and cleaner than we expected. I think it really shattered our prejudices about Africa.
💬 You two have been to 34 countries besides Africa. Compared to other countries, what do you think about Africa?
[Sol] Africa definitely feels different from the travel destinations we've been to before. It has an incredibly luxurious feel, I guess. Even looking at the travelers, there’s a noticeable difference. There were many families, and it felt like a place frequented by wealthy foreigners. It was so good that I would like to bring my parents here in the future.

[Yujin's Review Part 2] Botswana honeymoon highlights: top activities, stays, and Seychelles tips.
This newlywed couple visited the Seychelles and Botswana in May 2023. Yujin had planned a Tanzania honeymoon, but since May is part of the rainy season and not ideal for safari, we recommended Botswana instead. Its dry weather and incredible wildlife made it the perfect choice.
