[Yujin's Review Part 2] Botswana honeymoon highlights: top activities, stays, and Seychelles tips.

Following Part 1, which mainly introduced Botswana's travel routes and weather, this is Part 2 introducing accommodations and activities!

💬 Please give us your overall impression of Botswana.

Botswana is the ultimate travel destination. It seems like a place you absolutely must visit before you die. The grandeur of nature, combining vastness, stunning scenery, and wildlife, is incredible. It's a place that makes you feel like you've stepped into a movie. Especially after visiting Botswana, I discovered that birds are so beautiful that I've been watching parrot YouTube videos lately. I'm seriously thinking about getting a bird as a pet.

💬 What was the most memorable activity in each region?

There were so many memorable activities. We both don't really like water, but since it was part of the itinerary, we decided to try the Chobe River cruise. Watching the herd of elephants swimming was so cute and fun.

There were so many birds in particular, and I can still clearly picture them all taking flight at once as our boat approached. The river was sparkling, crocodiles were in plain sight, and the whole scene instantly reminded me of the opening scene of the movie Avatar.

The meerkats that popped up right above my head are also memorable. When I first heard what the guide said, I thought he was joking, but when several meerkats actually came to play around me, it was so amazing.
They weren't scared of people as much as I expected and seemed to like us. They were really adorable. It's a truly unique experience that you can only have in the Botswana desert, I think.
The helicopter ride we took in the Okavango Delta is also unforgettable. Even when planning the trip, I had no intention of taking a helicopter, but once we got there, I felt like I'd regret it if we didn't. I urgently contacted Ahmo Travel to ask if it was possible, and the representative quickly helped arrange everything. I was so grateful. Thanks to that, we could fly through the sky and watch every movement of the animals. I still remember the impalas running around.

💬 Which accommodation was the most memorable among the places you stayed?

That would be the Elephant Lodge in Chobe. With a view overlooking the Chobe River, watching herds of elephants bathing and playing naturally brought smiles to our faces. Mma Dinare, where we stayed in the Delta, was also incredibly memorable. Animals wandered right in front of the lodge, so we could watch them while resting and even while sipping whiskey. It felt like we were right inside a zoo!

💬 If you were to travel there again, is there anything you'd want to change?

Definitely the SIM card. My husband and I used our carrier’s roaming service, but the internet didn’t work as well as we’d expected. Most people use eSIMs these days, so next time I go, I'm thinking of getting a local internet SIM card instead. Also, I really wish I could change our decision to skip the morning game drive on our last day in Chobe just because we were tired. That was the only time we took a break, but the people who went out during that time got to see a cheetah hunting and eating a zebra from really close up! I was so disappointed that we missed it. If I ever go back, no matter how tired I am, I'm definitely going on every single game drive!
