💬 Why we chose Africa as a family travel destination

Hello. We're a family of six with four children - one in 9th grade, one in 7th grade, one in 5th grade, and one in 4th grade.
Since the kids are still students, it wasn't easy to take them out of school for a long trip.

💬 What was the most memorable moment from this trip?

It’s hard to pick just one moment because every moment we experienced during our travels felt like one of the greatest experiences of our lives. Everyone has different preferences, and if you prefer the comfort of cities or shopping, Africa might feel unfamiliar. However, the charm of the nature and activities we experienced there was completely different from what we found in Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and other places.

We enjoyed so many different activities — a Victoria Falls helicopter tour, traveling in South Africa, a bush sundowner, game drives, and more. Maybe because they were all new experiences, every moment felt especially special and enjoyable.

💬 Were there any difficulties while preparing for your Africa trip?

We usually prefer independent travel over package tours. We book accommodations and flights ourselves, then travel using rental cars or day tours — basically, we like traveling our own way. We wanted to travel independently in Africa too, but unlike other regions, the barriers to travel were high. Even after arranging accommodations and flights, transportation and connections between destinations were not easy, and we did not want to join a group package tour. Then, while looking for a Korean travel agency that could arrange things in a style similar to independent travel, we discovered Ahmo Travel, and we were really satisfied with the result.
