Hello! We’re newlyweds who got married in Busan last May after dating for a year and a half! I remember rushing to Seoul Station and then to Incheon Airport right after our wedding ceremony

💬 Why did you choose Africa as your honeymoon destination?

Traveling to Africa had been on my bucket list for a very long time! Because of that, I always knew that if I ever got the chance to take an extended trip, Africa would be my absolute first choice. As luck would have it, that perfect opportunity turned out to be our honeymoon!

I remember when my now-husband and I first brought up the topic of honeymoons, I shouted 'Africa!' without a single second of hesitation. Sadly, his immediate reaction was thinking I must be joking. But I was persistent, and after constantly convincing him, we officially decided on Africa for our honeymoon!

💬 What were your impressions of visiting Victoria Falls, one of the world's three major waterfalls?

We visited Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

May is the rainy season, so there is a lot of water in the falls and you get absolutely soaked; raincoats are essential. However, our Ahmotravel guide provided them for free, so we didn't need to pack them separately which was convenient.

The magnificence of Victoria Falls in person was truly indescribable! We wore hiking boots, but I think even short sleeves, shorts, and flip-flops would have been fine.

We were also very satisfied with our accommodation! When we arrived at Victoria Falls Airport, our local guide was already waiting with a sign bearing my name on it, so there was no chance of getting lost, and transportation was smooth!

💬How was Mauritius, known as “the island created before heaven”?

It was exactly what we expected!

Le Morne Mountain, visible from our accommodation, was truly beautiful. This mountain is a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

There were many swimming pools within the resort, so just exploring and swimming kept us happy all day. There was also a beach right in front, making it the perfect accommodation for relaxation! What was disappointing was that we couldn't see the underwater waterfall, which was the main purpose of our Mauritius trip. It was fully booked, and although our guide put us on the waiting list, we ultimately couldn’t see it in the end. If I had known it was this popular, I would have booked in advance. Instead, we signed up for a yacht tour. As you can see, our satisfaction was at its peak! We were able to enjoy the tour at various points, and the water was crystal clear.
We even saw dolphins while snorkeling!

Our guide was also very cheerful, and it became a joyful memory!

We made simple cocktails that looked just like the color of the ocean in Mauritius, enjoyed some relaxation with a glass of wine, and even had canapés!

Thanks to the beautiful sunset, we were able to create happy memories of Mauritius.

💬 What was the most memorable experience during your trip?

The most memorable experience was definitely the Botswana safari experience! We went on game drives in Chobe National Park and also enjoyed boat cruises on the Chobe River and in the Okavango Delta! We were able to see various animals living and moving freely in the wild.

When we actually saw the baobab trees from The Little Prince in Chobe National Park, I was filled with such an overwhelming sense of happiness!

Being able to see animals like eagles and zebras up close—animals that are hard to encounter in real life—made it an even more special experience. I thought I would want to come back again someday.

We enjoyed the Chobe River cruise while drinking local beer! The moment of leisurely enjoying the cool river breeze remains a special memory.

During the cruise, we could see hippos, elephants, and crocodilestoo, and being able to see crocodiles this close up was really thrilling.

Our guide Jackson was also very kind and I could feel that he was making an effort to show us many animals!

We even signed up for a night game drive! Although it was cold and exhausting because it was late at night, we chose to do it because we knew we'd regret missing out more than we'd regret just pushing through. We actually spotted a hyena, but it hid the second we turned on the lights, so it was a bit disappointing that we couldn't snap a photo. We also got to see hippos and elephants; observing the animals in the dark had a completely different, fascinating vibe to it.

💬 What were the good points about Ahmotravel?

For a honeymoon, enjoying only activities can be tiring and doing only relaxation can feel lacking. For those who find it disappointing to choose just one, I highly recommend Africa!
