We're newlyweds who went to Kenya for our honeymoon. For me, Africa had long been a dream destination I wanted to visit at least once.

My husband made that dream come true with me, and so we went to Africa for our honeymoon.

💬 Why did you choose Kenya as your destination?

🦒 An African trip we had held in our hearts for a long time

We've traveled to many other countries, but this was our first time in Africa. Interest in African travel has been growing lately, but when we actually tried to plan it ourselves, we felt there wasn't much information compared to other regions.

Still, since it was a trip we had dreamed of for so long, we really wanted to take on the challenge for our honeymoon. That's how we planned an itinerary through Nairobi, Naivasha and the Masai Mara, finishing with a beach break at Diani Beach.

More people are traveling to Africa these days, but compared to Europe or Southeast Asia, we still felt there wasn't much information we could find ourselves.

The most memorable place was, of course, the Masai Mara.

We enjoyed private game drives in a spacious safari vehicle with just the two of us and our guide. Seeing buffalo and lions up close and searching for wildlife was truly special.

During a game drive, we stopped on a quiet stretch of grassland and had a picnic with the packed lunch prepared for us. Sitting alone together in the middle of the Masai Mara over lunch is still a truly romantic memory.
