[Da-young] Hello, I’m Yoon Da-young. Always curious and eager to try new things, I wanted to mark the end of my twenties with something special—so I traveled to Africa with a colleague.

[Yu-ri] Hello, I’m Kim Yu-ri. As someone who loves adventure and nature, visiting Africa had always been a dream of mine—so I decided to make it happen.

💬 I'm curious about what made you two decide to go to Africa.

[Da-young] As Yu-ri and I talked about how to spend the last chapter of our twenties, we decided to travel together—somewhere special and truly memorable. I remember we considered travel destinations like Iceland, the US, and Africa, and we even had our Instagram followers vote on it.

[Yu-ri] I wanted to experience the great nature firsthand. I had only seen it in documentaries, so I was curious about what it would be like to actually see the vast nature and wide grasslands.

💬 What was the most difficult information to find while preparing for your Africa trip?

[Da-young] Africa is such an unfamiliar travel destination that we couldn't find anyone around us who had been there. Except for flights, it was really difficult to find information. Planning especially the travel route was overwhelming.I remember we met up on weekends to plan our trip but ended up spending the whole day just searching for blog information.

[Yu-ri] When getting the Kenya visa, there were so many errors, and it was difficult to find solutions. There wasn't really anywhere to ask, and the lack of information was frustrating. Also, since Africa is so huge, it was difficult to know where to start planning the route.

💬 Are you satisfied with the travel route planned with Ahmo Travel?

[Da-young] We're so satisfied. I think all we did regarding the route was tell them our travel style. Since they only recommend accommodations and activities that other travelers have been satisfied with, the overall quality was good, and they provided us with a complete itinerary, so we didn't need to spend extra time on it. [Yu-ri] It was comfortable and nice to receive a clean itinerary when we were complete beginners who knew nothing. They planned a course that perfectly matched our tastes, making our worries seem unnecessary.

💬 How were the accommodations in Africa?

[Da-young] We experienced various accommodations from tent-style to luxury lodges. Each accommodation had such different charms that we moved to each new place with excitement every day. The experience of falling asleep to the sound of hyena calls and showering under the clouds will probably remain in my memory forever.

[Yu-ri] I had some prejudices about Africa, but I was surprised that the accommodation quality was better than expected. It was exotic since each accommodation had a different concept every day.

💬 How was the guide who helped with your trip?

[Da-young] I heard that Ahmo Travel has very strict standards for hiring guides, and after meeting them in person, I understood why. They had lots of safari experience and professional knowledge about animals, so we could enjoy the safari 200%. I think we saw all the animals we wanted to see without any regrets. Also, they were all so lively that we sang and danced together every day. I still vividly remember dancing with the guides under the sunset with music playing.

[Yu-ri] Usually when we think of guided tours in Korea, we think of trips with lots of interference and no free time. At Ahmo Travel, the guides seem to play a role in helping you travel safely without wasting unnecessary time.

💬 Is there any memorable activity?

Da-young & Yu-ri: The most memorable activity was definitely the walking safari. Even though you can see animals up close during game drives, approaching and observing them in their actual living environment feels different.

💬 What would be your overall assessment of the Africa trip?

[Da-young] I'm so satisfied and it was so memorable that I want to go again. Discovering the world of wildlife and nature that I could never experience in Korea was overwhelming. Just watching wild animals made me feel peaceful, and observing their daily lives sparked curiosity and wonder.

[Yu-ri] I was happy to experience the unknown continent of Africa without any emotional labor. I had never traveled through a travel agency and didn't want to, but Ahmo Travel broke my prejudice against travel agencies.

[Da-young] Don't hesitate and go right now! I hope everyone gets to see this great nature with their own eyes before they die. From walking safaris to balloon safaris flying through the sky, and water activities like snorkeling in emerald beaches. Africa, where you can enjoy adventure and relaxation at the same time, will be more fun than you think!
