Real-Time Africa Review: Cape Town, Chobe, Victoria Falls & Zanzibar (From a Guest in Their 40s)

👋 First, could you please introduce yourselves?

I'm in my 40s, and my husband is in his early 60s. We felt like, “Let’s go somewhere really far away before it’s too late,” so my husband and I decided to take this trip to Africa together. Now we're traveling around various parts of Africa, building precious experiences one by one.

Q1. Why did you choose Africa as your honeymoon destination?

To be honest, we didn't have much information about Africa, had some prejudices, and frankly were a bit afraid. But it was a travel destination we'd been putting off for a long time because we felt it was "far away," and now we really wanted to see it. Once we made up our minds we thought, "If not now, when will we ever get to see Africa?" and gathered the courage to make the journey.

Q2. What would you say was the best moment during your trip?

Africa has so much to see that it's hard to pick just one place, but a few things remain very vividly in my memory.

We tasted various types of wine, and I thought, "This is a really valuable experience!"

I really felt this was an essential destination for traveling in South Africa.

After enjoying our trip to South Africa, we visited Victoria Falls, but stopped by Chobe National Park before that.

They said this destination was famous for having many elephants, and there really were so many. My husband and I could see this unknown world directly with our own eyes, and it was beyond overwhelming. Besides elephants, seeing various wild animals up close in person made me think we really made the right choice coming to Africa.

Besides elephants, we could see various wild animals, making it a special time. And now we still have the Victoria Falls helicopter tour → Nairobi, Kenya → Ngorongoro → Serengeti → Zanzibar left in our itinerary, so we're even more excited.

Q3. What were the good points about traveling with Ahmotravel?

First of all, there's really little information about Africa, so preparing for the trip by myself would have been quite overwhelming.
