Africa Family Trip Review of Tanzania Including Zanzibar

💬 Please give us a brief introduction!

Hello. I am the director of a support center for foreigners and international students in Korea. I have been helping foreigners and international students in Korea for about 16 years, and I currently run the center with my son. For this trip, my son and I, along with the head of an organization that sponsors our center, visited Africa.

In total, we visited five countries: #Ghana #Zimbabwe #Zambia #Rwanda #Tanzania. It was a meaningful time touring these various African countries.

💬 What made you decide to take a family trip to Africa?

📌An Africa trip that fulfilled both work and travel: I usually maintain close relationships with African embassies in Korea through my activities. This trip was to check on the local lives of students who studied in Korea and returned home, and also to deliver wheelchairs to students we support. In most countries, my friends who live there served as guides, but for Tanzania only, I wanted professional safari guides from a travel agency. So the travel agency I chose was Ahmo Travel.

In Tanzania, we visited Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Zanzibar, and Dar es Salaam. Actually, Tanzania was a country I had wanted to visit for a long time.

📌Unforgettable Serengeti safari: The most memorable experience was definitely the Serengeti safari. In particular, our game drive guide, Godson, who was assigned by Ahmo Travel, was truly excellent. He was a veteran guide with nine years of experience in the Serengeti alone. Thanks to him, we were able to see so many animals up close, including lions, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests.

It really felt like watching The Lion King right before our eyes. Other travelers said they only saw zebras and wildebeests, but our guide, Godson, understood the animals' movements so accurately. He was so experienced locally that even other guides would ask him for directions!

I highly recommend him! Godson, also spoke Korean quite well. In addition, he could imitate lion and hyena sounds so perfectly that we filmed a video of it, which got over 855 views! His honesty, diligence, and sense of responsibility were truly impressive. He took such good care of us in every situation, and I am deeply grateful.

📌 The best resort where I wanted to stay forever

Zanzibar, which we visited after the safari, was truly beautiful. The hotel we stayed at was a resort located right on the beachfront.

We could dip our feet in the ocean water, listen to the sound of waves, relax comfortably in the shade, and chat with the Maasai people - it was such a peaceful time. In Zanzibar, I wished we could have stayed about a week longer.
